I really love how the last hints of blue hour provided a lovely soft pastel blue backdrop to the fresh snow cover on the ground. This is a two row, multi column panoramic image that has been blended into a very high resolution image capable of being printed up to 8' wide while remaining extremely sharp and clear.
After capturing a few different versions of the sky during blue hour, it was time to hike back out. It was long after dark with no moon, so I needed to put on my headlamp. While I was hiking back out, I couldn't help but notice how the fresh snow was sparkling as my headlamp lit it up... Wonderful and Serene ...
Eager to get out shooting, I ventured out to Mer Bleue in hopes of some morning colours during sunrise. Unfortunatel, the cloud cover was just too thick, and the colours never came out. This shot was taken during the last phase of pre-dan blue hour.
