Today was the first time I had a chance to get out and really put the new Kase Wolverine filter system to the test. I hiked down into a small lake in Gatineau park. The winds were blowing steady making it impossible to do any bracketed shots. I got out the Kase system and using the magnetic circular polarizer with a 6 stop medium graduated filter I was able to balance the scene really well, no need for bracketed shots to be able to recover all of the detail! Yeah! This is a three row, multi-column panoramic image with over 10,600 pixels on the short side. With this much resolution, it will print nice and big easily! (at 300 dpi that works out to a 36" tall print without any resizing!)
Spring is finally here, with April Showers being very prominent this spring. I was up bright and early this Easter Sunday to go shooting, since the forecast was for a foggy start to the day. This was the last location I decided to check out, a golf course near the Ottawa River on the Quebec side of the river. When I first arrived there was a bit more fog in the air, but it was quickly dissipating. I could feel the warmth of the sun making it's way through the low clouds and fog.
